James “Bimbo” Allen Micek, 64, passed away with his sister, Shirley, by his side on February 16, 2019. Bimbo was born in Victoria on July 13, 1954 to the late Helen Janak and Johnnie Micek. Bimbo loved to go bowling, dancing, drawing, writing and watching his Dallas Cowboys on T.V. He won numerous awards for participating in the Special Oylmpics and was a member of VACD, Victoria Association for Citizens with Disabilities and Holy Family Catholic Church. Bimbo always had a big smile on his face and everyone was his buddy. He never met a stranger and his kind heart and friendship will be missed.
Bimbo is survived by his sister, Shirley Dixon of Victoria and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Roger Dixon.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Brown, Herbert (Herbo) Hermes Jr., Glen (Pete) Janak, Glenn (Curley) Janca, William Hermes and Monroe (Boggie) Schroeder.
Honorary pallbearer is JT Chandler.
The family would like to thank all those who cared for Bimbo through-out his life and illness.
