

James (Jim) worked at Du Pont for 35 years. After his retirement, he worked with his loving wife at their business, Billings Adjusting Service.
James never met a stranger and was always quick to lend a hand to those in need. His family always came first and you could often find him at a dance recital, cross country meet, a horseback riding show or at a local football game.
James was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harold Burt Billings, Raymond Noel Billings and Ralph Joel Billings, his cousin Bess Lowrance and one niece, Suanne Billings.
James will be dearly missed by his wife Sue Clark Billings and his daughter and son-in-law Carla and Greg Van Klompenburg. He was “Papa” to three granddaughters Lara Ellen, Paxton Kent and Haley Erin Van Klompenburg. He will be missed by his snuggling buddy Rambo the cat.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 4-6 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria.
The visitation will continue at 9 AM, Monday, October 21, 2013 at Finch Funeral Home in Nixon followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow at the Nixon Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Noel Billings, Morgan Smith, Donnie Kubala, James Foster, Greg VanKlompenburg, Tommy Gaylord, Dennis Ortman and Dennis Phillips.
