James Kenneth Walters passed away Saturday January 20th in his home in Victoria, TX. He was a Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean War and retired from Union Carbide. He was an avid fisherman and motorcyclist. He was a member of the NRA and a gun enthusiast and appreciated the outdoors. James loved his many dogs through the years. He rescued and adopted countless dogs and was a proponent for no kill shelters.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Frances Walters.
He is survived by 3 children Peggy Vahalik (Dennis), Kenneth Walters (Peggy), Jimmie Walters (Sandi). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018, at 2 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Vahalik, Kyle Ferguson, Brian Walters, and Matthew Vahalik.
