Prayers and condolences to Wilbert and all the family. Jane was one of the first students I met when we moved to Port Lavaca in 1949. She was friendly and made me feel like an old friend from the beginning. Her mother played the organ at the Methodist church and was always friendly and supportive of all of Jane's friends. We spent much time together as we grew up and always had a lot of fun. Pete and Reubie became like second parents. Jane's smile, friendly personality and compassion for others were a direct result of her family upbringing.

Our neighborhood has lost a jewel. It was always such a joy to see you and visit with you. Your hugs were the best! I will always look for you on the back patio when I am playing golf in the evenings. We will miss you so much. Please look down on us from Heaven and God Bless.

Wilbert,
My son, Phillip, and I would like to send our regards to you and your family at the passing of one of the most incredible woman we have ever known, your lovely wife, Jane. Jane's laughter and loving nature could brighten the entire school. She was such a credit to the teaching profession and left an impact on all her students and peers. There are only a few people that pass through our lives that we can say truly influenced us and Jane was one of those amazing people.
I know the world is just a little sadder with Jane's passing but Heaven is rocking with our Dear Sweet Jane!!
