Jenell B. Gisler, age 92, of Victoria, Texas passed away in the presence of Children and grandchildren into the presence of Jesus Christ and her loving husband of 57 years, Jimmie on Monday, March 11, 2024. Jenell was born in Meyersville, TX to Nadine Hasdorf Thamm and Burnett Thamm.
She was a First English Lutheran Church member until she was married. Then she became a member of Point Comfort’s St. Marks Lutheran Church. For the last forty years, Jenell has been a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley, where she was a longtime member of the Esther Circle. She dedicated many hours as a volunteer at Christ Kitchen. Jenell was also a member of the Gem and Mineral Society of Victoria
Jenell was an avid seamstress. She also enjoyed many crafts including crochet, stitching, pottery, and wire wrapping. She also enjoyed painting still-life pictures and gardening. Jenell and Jimmie loved to travel and toured the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Jenell is survived by her daughters Gail Woytasczyk and husband Rick; Cheryl Gisler; son Curtis Gisler and wife Mary; her sister Bernadine Bomersbach; grandchildren Richie Woytasczyk, Ross Woytasczyk, Candice Clay, C. J. Eaves, Tara Reyes, Jo Ann McGinnis, Danny Gisler, Michael Gonzales, Melissa Perez, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jenell was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jimmie B. Gisler; a granddaughter Christina Renee Gisler, and a grandson Charles Lee Gisler.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, 3304 Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, TX. The funeral service is Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 12183 FM 236, Victoria, TX 77905. Pastor Jonathan Meyer will be officiating from Zion Lutheran Church.
Jenell will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends. She will be laid to rest in Mission Valley Cemetery.
Richie Woytasczyk, Ross Woytasczyk, Jacky Clay, Danny Gisler, C. J. Eaves, Dillan Gisler, and Kyle Woytasczyk serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Woytasczyk and Travis Woytasczyk.
