Joanne passed away peacefully on August 13 at the age of 72 in Victoria, Texas. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts to a military family, Joanne grew up a proud "Army Brat", relocating frequently. As the oldest of seven, she naturally stepped into a nurturing role.
Joanne went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1981, followed by earning her certified Medical Assistant Certificate in 1986.
A woman of immense warmth and creativity, she was a devoted mother who proudly raised three daughters, teaching them the values of kindness, strength, and love. She lovingly welcomed two foreign exchange students, Emma Paranky and Bernadette DeMuse, into her life, embracing them like daughters of her own.
Her early love for travel stayed with her throughout her life. One of her favorite pastimes was going on cruises with her sister, Kathy, and family. Together they shared countless laughs and beautiful memories.
An incredibly talented artisan, Joanne loved crafting, sewing, and quilting. Her hands were rarely still, and the beautiful quilts she meticulously created will remain lasting symbols of her warmth, patience, and love for her family.
Her greatest joy was found in her role as a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her four granddaughters, who were the absolute center of her world. Whether she was baking or crafting with them or cheering them on from the sidelines of whatever activity they did, she was always their biggest supporter and proudest fan.
She is survived by her three daughters, Julia Rogers (Christopher), Sarah Tschoepe (Tyson), and Rachel Ryan (Lance); her four granddaughters, Faith Rogers, Kara Rogers, Madison Tschoepe, and Caroline Tschoepe; as well as her siblings, Diane Wilson (Philip), Elaine Daigle, Susan Saunders (Tom), Kathy Hagerty (Mark), Janet Prager (Karl), and Andrew Daigle (Kassandra); along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert P. and Patricia J. Daigle.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday, the 22nd of August 2026 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from ten o'clock until eleven o'clock in the morning.
