Jerry was born October 4, 1935 in Magnolia, Arkansas to Loyce Woodrow Cheatham and Mable Effie (Davis) Cheatham. Oh my, he loved those Razorbacks and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
While in high school he met his one and only, the love of his life, Mary Rebecca Perry. They were married October 4, 1960 in Magnolia, Arkansas. Over those 56 years, they were inseparable, finding joy in each other and the life they built together. Their life was full, owning a successful business, spending time with Family and friends, traveling, playing golf and for many years, as volunteers to Hospice of South Texas.
Jerry is survived by his sister Brenda Cheatham, aunt Lorene Cheatham along with nieces and nephews including: Mary Ann Everly, Cathy Heaton, Herschel Vansickle, Monty Willis, Becky White, Ruth Willis, Patsy Ruth Haney.
In addition to parents, he is preceded in death by his wife and sweetheart Mary.
By all who knew Jerry, he will be remembered by smile, work ethic, storytelling, his love for his church and his passion for helping others.
Special thanks to friend Brenda Floerke and Natha Ricks with Visiting Angels.
