John Alexander George, 79, passed away on May 6, 2025. John is survived by his wife, Beverly, daughter Kristine (husband John), son David (wife Stacey), 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth (husband Alex), Rebekah, Kaatlyn, Alexandra (husband Chris), Bethany (husband Turner), and Landon, and 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Eva, and Zeke. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Audrey.
John was born in Pampa, TX, to John and Lenora George in 1945. He married Beverly Clark in 1965, and they spent the next 60 years together. He graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1972 and started his career practicing law in DFW. After a few years of law in the big city, John moved his family to Victoria, TX, in pursuit of a simpler life with a little less traffic and a few more fish. In Victoria, John practiced law for 3 decades and was a state judge for nearly a decade. He found his calling in family law and approached each case with grace and a dry sense of humor.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday the 16th of May 2025 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 Mockingbird Lane. This visitation will be a special time for friends and family to share fond memories, stories, or keepsakes.
