So many memories, we have been so lucky to share with Grandpa John. When I think of him I think fishing, gardening (especially his peppers), salsa, chili, barbecues, football, love of animals, his sense of humor, silly faces, calm mannerism, and hardworking.  We do our best to carry on his Chili tradition and I make his famous salsa often.  So many memories shared in California and continued in Arkansas.  Our most recent trip, John shared a couple tips while we grilling steaks with Todd and I which was a pretty special trip for us and the boys.  Grandpa John is someone very special and is already missed dearly. Sending all our love to all our family.

Grandpa Mozisek you will be so missed by so many! You were there watching us grow up and always there to make us laugh with your jokes. You had a firm demeanor but sure made us feel loved! I can hear your laugh and jokes still! I’ll forever remember the days of your bbqing in Yorba Linda for us. It won’t be the same without you. I hope the reunion with Uncle Mo and many others was the best and give each other a huge hug for us! We love you so much!

I wanted to share a few memories and thoughts about John, my grandfather for 43 years. I have countless memories with him, from driving across the country in his Lincoln Continental to visit family—despite spilling my Coke in the backseat after he said we weren’t supposed to eat or certainly drink in his car—to learning landscaping and irrigation work at his business Gold Key Landscaping together on weekends. I’ll never forget our fishing trips in the Eastern Sierras for trout or enjoying his delicious BBQ while sitting on the back patio, drinking Miller Lites together. 

John had a unique way of making you laugh with his jokes, yet he carried a calm and firm demeanor that commanded deep respect. He taught me so much and was always patient with the endless questions I threw his way. I know he touched many lives, and he will certainly be missed.
