John D. Talbott

John D. Talbott, 71, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was born June 23, 1943, in Victoria to the late John R. and Nancy Sparkman Talbott. He was employed in the oil field as a production manager. Throughout his life John touched many lives with his soft voice, gentle spirit and loving heart.

John is survived by his wife, Linda Strattmann Talbott of Victoria; daughter, Lynn Preiss of Fannin; sons, John R. Talbott Jr. of Refugio, Brad Talbott of Bedford, Troy Tait of West Columbia and Greg Tait of Austin; sister, Joyce Henderson of Rockport; three grandchildren, Stormi Preiss, Jordan Tait and Brittney Foster.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Talbott and granddaughter, Evan Lynae Preiss.

The family will receive friends at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Michael Henderson, Mike Fralick, Brian McDervitt, A. J. Drexler, Larry Morgan and Jay Edmonson.
