John Willie Tyrone, 85, of Victoria passed away Monday, December 30, 2013. He was born May 25, 1928, in Alice to the late Otto and Willie Mae Jones Tyrone. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Carter Tyrone of Houston; daughters, Joyce Tyrone and Deborah Perry, both of Victoria, and Maureen Gude of Houston; brother, Rev. Elvin Eugene Tyrone of Austin; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Murray Tyrone and a son, Ronald Tyrone.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 6, 2014, from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Palestine Baptist Church, Rev. Gregory Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
