John K. Wright

John K. Wright, 87 of Victoria died on Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was born on February 4, 1924 in Bay City, Texas to the late Thomas J. Wright and Hester Maine Bryant Wright. John was a retired mechanic from DuPont and had proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army during WW II.

He is survived by wife, Irma Maxine Sutterfield Wright, of Victoria,

Son, Pat Wright and wife Donna, of Victoria; sister, Mary Frances Gerdes and husband Coolidge, of Victoria; brother, Jasper L. Wright, of Richardson, Texas and grandchildren; Sarah Willingham and husband Joshua, Shaun Wright and wife Jena; great grandchild, Joshua Willingham, Jr.

Preceded in death by parents, son, John Michael Wright and brother, Robert L. Wright.

The Family will receive Friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 5 to 7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home.

The Service will be held 10 am Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home, Rev. John Waak, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with a Flag Folding Presentation by the Victoria Veterans Council.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Willingham, Shaun Wright, Mark Atkinson, Quinn Jacobusse, Keith Jacobusse, Adrian Fulton.

Honorary Pallbearers are Coolidge Gerdes, Wayne West, Joe Rodriguez, Roger Richardson, Don Atkinson, The Ramsey’s 5:00 pm Dog Pound Coffee Drinkers.
