Juan "John" Ozuna

Juan “John” Ozuna, 71, of Victoria passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. He was born June 15, 1941, in Victoria to the late Jose Juan and Juana Menchaca Ozuna. John was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was also a fireman for the Victoria Fire Department for many years.

Survivors include his daughters, Veronica Allen of New Jersey and Rachel Sullivan and husband, Tim, of Cedar Park; sons, John Ozuna and wife, Christine of Thornton, Colorado, and Andy Ozuna and wife, Amanda, of Spring Branch; sister, Hope Wrench of Dallas; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Refugio “Cuca” Martinez Ozuna; and a brother, P. M. “Paco” Ozuna.“

A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, June 14, 2013, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Flag folding and Taps under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow the funeral mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Wrench, Robert Sanchez, Andy Ozuna, John Ozuna, Brandon Moyer and Tim Sullivan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bart Hernandez, Tom Sanchez, Felix Martinez, Ramiro Vela, Robert Sanchez and Willie Nunez.

My deepest sympathy to the Ozuna family, I know that there are no words and nothing that i can do or say to make it easy only God and time will ease the pain that you and your family is going through. Dearest father above please give them comfort and strength in the time of need provide our hearts with peace and courage reminding us of your eternal love and protection this day. Please ease the pain of those who are injured and the sorrow for our losses provide us with the guidance we need to make it through this trying time Amen. I'm so sorry for your loss John was a good and funny man He will be miss.

So sorry for ya'lls loss, I grew up around Mr. Ozuna since he was our mailman and later I became best friends with Veronica and I was more around them. He was a nice man and always treated me like family. God rest his soul.
