August 14, 1948 -- April 8, 2026
Judy Mikeska, 77 of Victoria, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Judy was born on August 14, 1948, in Victoria, Texas, to Melvin and Jane Lovel.
Judy graduated from Victoria High School and became a proud homemaker, raising her son, Troy Mikeska. She worked from home for many years, making fishing lures while watching her favorite soap operas. She then worked in the office for a local repo company and transitioned to the kitchen at Gulf Bend Center, where she enjoyed working with many clients.
Throughout the years, she became known as “MOM” to all of her “kids” as she opened her home and welcomed everyone for food, drinks, and games. In addition, she enjoyed having a “cold one” with her many friends at the country bar or sitting out on her patio playing with her dogs.
Judy had a love of horseback riding growing up, and continued to love animals throughout her life, cherishing her many dogs and grand pups. Judy enjoyed many trips, including trips to the beach, camping, and BBQ cook-offs, where she was in charge of beans and desserts, as she was an exceptional cook.
Judy is survived by her son, Troy Mikeska (Elene) of Inez, and sister, LuAnn O’Connor (T. Michael) of Victoria.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Jane Lovel, and her brother, Dennis Lovel.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor her final wishes and share stories and memories.
