JULIA D. SALAZAR – Mrs. Julia D. Salazar, 94, of Telferner, Texas went to be with the Lord on 27 January 2022. She was born on Feb 16, 1927, in Austwell, Texas to the late Eligio Maldonado Delgado & Julia Montejano Delgado from Port Lavaca, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Manuel S. Salazar, Jr., a son, Manuel Salazar, III and her parents.
She is survived by eight children, daughters; Mary Padilla of Victoria, Martha Vasquez of Victoria, Catherine Nutter (Wayne) of Victoria, Mary Julie Alvarez of Rockport, Eva Padilla of Victoria, Manuela Salazar Harper of Rockport, Lucy Alvarez of San Antonio, and Carolina Ramirez (Roberto) of Rockport, brothers Joe Delgado (Rose), Stanley Delgado (Susie) and John Delgado (Vicki). She is also survived by 26 Grandchildren, 49 Great-grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 5 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Victoria, Texas. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at 9 am with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Victoria, Texas. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons; Ernest Padilla, John Padilla, Noe Perez, Anthony Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Joe Trevino and John Albert Tijerina. Honorary Pallbearers will be all the Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
