June Marie Crawford
June 20, 1927 – November 13, 2019
Our most cherished Mother, June Marie Arnold Crawford, 92, passed away on November 13, 2019. She was born in Goliad County to the late Edwin and Rosie Arnold.
June was very passionate about her work as a professional Registered Nurse and was always focused on her duties and patients. During decades of dedicated service, we believe that she missed only 3 days of work, due to illness, during her working career at the former Victoria Hospital, DeTar Memorial and later at E.I. DuPont. She cared for many family and friends throughout her retirement years and was very active in the Catholic church until her progressive illness. June was an avid gardener and member of the Victoria Garden Club and the Polka Club for many years. She loved to dance, travel and play cards with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John J. Crawford; sister, Imogene Randall; and step father, H.F. (Blue) Albrecht.
June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Lester Green of Victoria; and son, John Crawford of San Antonio; grandchildren, Bryan Green and wife Araceli, Leah Doyle, Greg Crawford and wife Veronica; great-grandchildren, Helen and Henry Doyle, Garrett, Kyle, and Seth Crawford. We will all miss our “Super Nonnie”!
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank the employees of Sodalis Victoria Memory Care. Special gratitude is extended to Connie Cantu, who was a caregiver for June and her mother, Rosie, for many years. Connie provided loving and compassionate care and became like a family member to June.
The family will gather from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, the Rosary will begin at 1:30 pm, followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, November 18, 2019. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

John, my heart is saddened by the loss of your mom. Losing a parent - especially mom is one of the hardest things we have to endure. I'm guessing with her progressive illness and memorial request, this has been especially difficult for you. She was a beautiful lady and I know she is very proud of her family. Keep the memories alive and have peace and comfort knowing she is much happier in His loving hands. Prayers will continue for you and your entire family.

It has been some time since I had seen June but always remembered her as part of the Jacob Dentler and Rosina Schneider family although she did not attend many of the family gatherings. Once she did come to help only because I asked and it was after her husband had passed. She moved and I lost track of her.
I am sorry that my schedule did not allow me to attend visitation and the funeral. You are in my prayers that the Lord has given June the peace she needs and the comfort you need during your time of grief. If I can help you with your family connections on the Arnold/Dentler family line, please contact me.
Again, my Blessings. Your 3rd cousin

My favorite memory of my grandmother is definitely when she took me fishing. She took me to a friend of hers property that had two ponds stock full of fish. I caught fish right and left and I thought I was the best fisherman in the world. I had so much fun that day! Another somewhat funny memory is I remember that every year for my birthday she would give me a dollar for every year I was turning. If I was turning 16 I would get 16 dollars lol. It instilled in me a good lesson that an increased age comes with increased responsibility.
