Kathryn J. Williams

Kathryn Williams was born on March 9, 1921 in Palestine, TX to the late Linthus and Lizzie Davis Robinson. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She united with the St. John Baptist Church there. Kathryn was a faithful church worker. In 1947 she met and married the late Lorenzo Williams, Sr. on April 1, 1947. Four children were born to this union in Lamesa, TX. She became a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a faithful usher and a Sunday School teacher, and she worked with the youth department for 25 years. In 2004 she became a member of the New Mt. Pleasant Berean Missionary Church in Victoria, TX under the leadership of Rev. Ronnie Shepherd.

She leaves to cherish her life and love for her children: Barbara Lane, Shreveport, LA, Connie Runnels (devoted friend, John Hill), Victoria, TX, Kathy McDaniel (Archie), Bay City, TX; she was a mother figure to Margaret Fillmore, Victoria, TX; grandchildren, Tundra Nunez, James Terrell Jr., Archie McDaniel Jr., April McDaniel, Latrina Denson, Charlotte Denson, Krystal Harrington, Erica Wooten, Eric McDaniel and Mona Lipscombe; great-grandchildren, Dadrian Nunez, Braidan Nunez, Myaa Starr Denson, Christopher McDaniel, Kayden McDaniel, Braiden Wooten, Bryan Rangel and Michael Rangel; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Linthus and Lizzie Robinson; her husband, Lorenzo Williams Sr.; her son, Lorenzo Williams Jr.; sisters, Anna Robinson, Vera Thomas, Mary Joiner and Ruby Blane; brothers, James (JD) Robinson, Tommy Robinson, MD (Bo) Robinson and Frankie Robinson.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. Peter’s Baptist Church. Burial will be at 10 am Monday, November 4, 2019 at Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas.
