Kevin Ross Lovel, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on August 24, 1954, in Victoria, Texas, to Geraldine Dohman and Ross H. Lovel and was a lifelong resident of Victoria.
Kevin graduated from Victoria Stroman High School in 1972. He dedicated 40 years of his career to Victoria Office Equipment as a sales manager, and later worked for Pest Solutions for 4 years. After retiring, he became a volunteer at Citizens Medical Center, where he assisted with transporting patients and visitors to and from the hospital. He was well respected and known for his dedication, hard work, honesty, and commitment. He leaves a lasting impression on all who have had the pleasure of working with him.
Kevin was married to Janice Kay Haggerton Lovel, the love of his life, for 50 wonderful years. He treasured family time, and his granddaughter, Skylar Kay Lovel, was the light of his life. Kevin is also survived by his son, Chad Randall Lovel; his sisters, Susan Urban and Jennifer Lovel; and his brother, Pat Lovel. He was predeceased by his parents, Geraldine Dohman and Ross H. Lovel, and his son, Jason Ross Lovel.
Kevin was an active member of Central Church of Christ and loved to travel with family and friends, especially enjoying cruises. He was well known in the community and touched the lives of many, and will be remembered fondly for his kindness and gentle spirit.
Visitation will be held on November 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, located at 3304 Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, TX. The funeral service will take place on November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Central Church of Christ, 801 E. Airline Road, Victoria, TX.
Pallbearers will include Steven Rawlinson, Gerald Griffith, Robert Smith, James Bo Poling, Chris Pustka, John Ell, and Ricky Campbell. Honorary pallbearers include the volunteer staff at Citizens Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Central Church of Christ in memory of Kevin.
Kevin's legacy of integrity and devotion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have known him. He will be dearly missed by all.
