

Lamar was a retired Western Auto owner with more that thirty-seven years in the business. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church, a Shriner, and a 33 ̊ Scottish Rite Mason. He was a member of the Al Amin Shrine Fire Patrol, the Victoria Masonic Lodge #40, the Victoria Shrine Club, Victoria Scottish Rite Club and a charter member of Al Amin Shrine Temple in Corpus Christi.
Lamar is survived by his wife and soulmate, Christine after more than 46 years of marriage. He is also survived by his sons, Jason Lamar Collins (Lori) of Goliad, Mark Charles Collins (Donna) of Robinson, Richard Taylor Collins (Elsa) of Denton, twin daughters, Gwynn Boehm of Victoria and Lynn White (Wade) of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sherry Loesch, Shelly Price Delgado, Gina Collins, Joseph Boehm and Conner Reid Collins; step-grandchildren, Ashley McGill and Tyson Collins and also great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Keith Collins, brother, Cecil Collins and sister, Marjorie Roberts.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at First English Lutheran Church at 10 AM on Thursday, August 21, 201 with Rev. Jim Pearson officiating. Interment with Masonic graveside services will be at 1 PM Glendale Cemetery in Goliad, TX.
Pallbearers will be Don Barger, Joseph Boehm, Warren Young, Russell Comstock, Craig Thedin, and Don Angele.
Honarary pallbearers will be Harold Baecker, Hugh Sappington, William J. Groll, and Dave Henning.
