

Lawrence Lynn Tagliabue, 65, of Victoria passed away Friday, February 28, 2014. He was born February 24, 1949, in Zavala County, Texas, to Eloise Johnson Tagliabue and the late Lawrence Joseph Tagliabue. “Larry” graduated with honors from Saint Joseph High School in 1967 where he was class president. Larry enjoyed playing trombone in the Saint Joseph High School band and his love of music was with him his whole life. Larry graduated from Texas A&M University and was a devoted Aggie and proud alumni. Larry loved the great outdoors, the beauty of south Texas, and visiting with family and friends. He was retired from DuPont after 30 years of service. Larry was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his sons, Joseph A. Tagliabue and his wife, Lauren, and David C. Tagliabue and his wife, Tambri, all of Victoria; his sister, Mary E. Forbes of Dallas; four grandchildren, Joey, Tate, David and Sage.
Larry is preceded in death by his beloved sisters Nancy Jean Tagliabue Calhoun and Rhonda Kaye Tagliabue.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A short service and Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Resurrection Cemetery, Rev. Gary Janak officiating.
