Mr. & Mrs. Gaddis lived in College Station, Texas for over fifty years and both retired from Texas A & M University. Prior to moving to Victoria, Mrs. Gaddis was a member of The First Baptist Church of Bryan, Texas and was most recently a member of the First Baptist Church, Victoria, TX. While living in College Station, she was a member of the Organ Club and The Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, F. Marian VanderStucken and her husband, Alfred; daughter-in-law, Joyce Gaddis; four grandchildren, Alisa Hahn, Francis Bolen, Edgar VanderStucken, Steven Gaddis; seven great grandchildren, Stacey Greer, Christopher Bird, Erin Lerma, Bradley Hahn , Brittani, Jessalyn, and Paige VanderStucken, three great great grandchildren, Emma Lenora Greer, Terra Greer and Faith Hahn.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaddis is preceded in death by her husband in 1973, A. M. Gaddis and a son, A. M. Gaddis, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria, TX. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 1 PM at the College Station City Cemetery in College Station, TX with Rev. John Free of the First Baptist Church in Bryan, TX officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be all her special caregivers at Alzcare and all great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church in Victoria or Hospice of South Texas.
