

Laverne was born June 18, 1930, in Cuero to the late M. C. and Ida Schoenfeld Lesak. She was a housewife, a member of the Catholic Daughters and Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. She and Leonard had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Leonard was born February 20, 1925, in Jackson County, to the late Charles and Lillie Smiga Bomersbach. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus , a life member of VFW Post #4146 and a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.
Survivors include their son, David Bomersbach, and his wife, Tamey of San Antonio; grandchildren, Marla, Chris, Laura, Kate and Emily; Laverne’s sister Ann Schaer of Danevang; her brother, Robert Lesak of El Campo; Leonard’s sister, Eleanor Ewy of Kansas; his brothers, Bob Bomersbach of Victoria, and Ray Bomersbach of San Antonio.
In addition to her parents Laverne was preceded in death by her brother, Max Lesak.
In addition to his parents Leonard was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Welsby and brothers, Daniel Bomersbach and Frank Bomersbach.
A Rosary for Laverne and Leonard will be recited on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10 am with Msgr. Michael Harrold officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bomersbach, Mark Lesak, Pat Bomersbach, Byron Bomersbach, Joe Connelly and Daniel Earnest.
