Lillian Lively peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the age of 93. She had been living in Georgetown Texas and formerly of Victoria. She was surrounded by family that she loved dearly.
Lillian was born to the late Otto and Mary Brownschiedel in Fayetteville Texas. She outlived five brothers who often called her “Bob” and told many tales of their adventures on the farm. Frank, Arnold, Theo, James and Leroy are enjoying their sister’s company in Heaven, no doubt getting into mischief.
Lilly went to business school and worked as a model for Foley’s in Houston. She worked for NAPA in Houston and then worked over 40 years for Victoria Auto Supply. She worked after she retired and always kept busy. Lilly could sew anything with or without a pattern. Sewing was her passion and then she conquered quilting. If she made you something, it was made with love.
Not only could she sew, she could cook too. BBQ brisket was at the top of the list. There were so many great things that came from her kitchen it would be hard to choose another favorite. Lilly loved tending to plants. It is often said and witnessed that she could make a dead stick grow and flourish.
In 1951, she married James Lively in Houston. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lively Bernard (Bobby). Her grandchildren Lizz Podsim (Randall), Carmen Villa (David), April Kundla and Billy Bernard (Kristi).
Also, great grandchildren Scarlett Kundla, Vincent Kundla, Brynn Bernard, Blair Bernard and Lively Podsim. She will also be missed by nieces Debi Belluomini, Joyce Owens, Mary Ann White and Cathy Jo Mabry.
Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Bernard, Billy Bernard, Vincent Kundla, David Villa, Randall Podsim and Mike Kundla.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens located at 8819 US-87 (Cuero Hwy) in Victoria Texas.
