

Lillian Louise Johnson Hunnicutt, 92, passed onto the Lord 23-June-2015. She was born to Don Carlos Johnson and Nora Frances Gay Johnson 13-March-1923 at Taft, Texas. She was the beloved wife of the Rev. William Hoyt Hunnicutt, Jr. for over 69 years. She and her husband enrolled in East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, Texas, January 1947, and after transferring to Baylor University and both graduated from Baylor with BA degrees in 1950. She taught in the Public School System for 29 years in various places such as Fort Worth, Brownsboro, Vanderbilt Industrial, Waco and Goliad.
She was also a faithful, loyal, and very helpful pastor’s wife. She was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church, near Waelder, TX, where she served as Church Clerk, Assistant Pianist, and helped in singing special music. Through the years she taught Sunday school, served in Woman’s Missionary Union , played the Piano and Organ, and served on several church committees.
She is survived by her husband Rev. William Hoyt Hunnicutt Jr. of Hallettsville, one daughter Jan Frances Hunicutt Klug of Cibolo, one son Jon Hoyt Hunnicutt and wife Pam of Hallettsville. She enjoyed four precious Grand Children, Jessica Klug of College Station, Amy, Niki & Jared Hunnicutt of Hallettsville.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, DC Johnson and Aaron Earl Johnson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, 25-June-2015 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 with service to follow at the First Baptist Church in Victoria Texas with Rev. Jim Shamburger officiating.
Interment will follow at Taft Cemetery in Taft, Texas.
