and closest friends on Friday, June 15, 2012.
She was born September 7, 1945 in Overton
County, Tennessee to the late Dewey L. and
Ona Watson Brown. She moved to Texas in
1963.
Linnie was a beautician for over 20 years,
and had retired in 1994. She enjoyed spending
time with her family and prided herself in
being called "Granny" by her grandbabies. She was a member of
Renegade Church, and was baptized on August 27, 2011 by Pastor
Bard Letsinger.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse "Wayne" Neyland; daughter,
Deborah Kellis; sons, Jerry Porche and wife Neva, Brian Higdon, and
Justin Neyland and wife Jamie, all of Victoria; sisters, Louise Howard
and Elizabeth Bunch and husband Fred, both of Harriman, Tennessee
and Reba Tallent and husband John of Oakdale, Tennessee;
brother Ed Brown and wife Rose of Victoria; and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Tilley; and
brothers, Junior Brown, Lonnie Brown, France Brown, and Beecher
Brown.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012
at Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, June 20, 2012
at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bard Letsinger officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Ashleigh
Kellis-Carr, Brittney Higdon, Natasha Kellis, Garret Lehnert, Chance
Burkhart, and Morgan Neyland. Honorary pallbearers include her
grandchildren, Aaron Kellis, Kimberly Higdon, Gabrielle Cervantes,
and Nathan Walker, and her nephews, Jeff Bunch and Ted Bunch.
The Family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation for
the care given to Linnie by Victoria Lighthouse Hospice, including
nurses Loredana, Becky, and Melissa, and Chaplain Carl Schnieder;
and to Pastor Bard Letsinger; and Dr. Khiem Vu and wife, and his
staff.
