Lucy Allen

91. She was born in Moran, Texas, January 12, 1923 to Alfred Hilding Tochterman and

Charlotte Edith Schwing Tochterman.

Lucy is survived by her brother, Alfred Brill Tochterman of Andrews, TX,

son, Dr. Richard H. Allen and his wife, Kathryn of San Marcos, TX; son, Kenneth D.

Allen and his wife, Becky of Katy, Texas; and son, David Charles Allen of Richmond, TX.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Richard Kreig Allen of Houston, David

Kenneth Allen and wife Bethany of Austin, Emily Cadell and husband Mike of Waco,

Ted Weirbach and wife, Cameron of San Antonio, Thomas Mabry Allen and wife

Amber of Katy, Daniel Durwood Allen of Clear Lake, and Trey Scott Allen and wife

Erin of Kampala, Uganda. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Hunter, Sydney

and Mallory Cadell, Zane and Mae Weirbach, Jaxon and Kinzley Allen, Amaris and

Elliana Allen, and Zion and Sophia Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Richard C. Allen, Jr., sister,

Mary Katherine Tochterman Christesson.

She met her future husband at Texas Lutheran College. They were later married in

Miami, Florida on September 26, 1944. When Richard Allen opened his medical

practice to Victoria she became active in her church, First English Lutheran Church

in Victoria, including singing in the Chancel Choir and serving with many church groups.

Lucy requested that there only be a graveside service with immediate family members at

Memory Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society

or your own favorite charity.
