Lucy Mary Martin Polasek

Lucy worked as a secretary and retired from the State of Texas.

Lucy was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victory (OLV) Cathedral and served in the OLV Altar Society. She was an active volunteer, having been a member of the Catholic Daughters for more than 35 years. She also volunteered at Detar Hospital for many years.

She is survived by her children, daughter, Joyce Ann Polasek Kubala and her husband Paul; son, Paul Polasek and his wife Michelle, all of Victoria; sisters, Willie Mae Tuton and Crystal Le Pori; brother, Sam Glover Martin; grandchildren, Andrew Polasek and Kyle Polasek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Polasek, Jr.; sisters, Retha Belle Davis; and brothers, Dred W. Martin, Jr. and Dennis Martin.

Lucy will lie in state on Friday, November 2nd from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 3rd followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at OLV Cathedral. Rev. Gary Janak will preside. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Polasek, Kyle Polasek, Juan Garcia, Bo Hofferek, Rodney Clark and Jamie Dorsett.
