Marcelino Espindola, Jr., 84, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was born July 14, 1934 in Harlingen, Texas to the late Marcelino Espindola, Sr. and Maria Ester Canas Espindola. He worked for DuPont and Jack Lauger until he retired. Marcelino also was a painter. He enjoyed working with his hands and taking care of his fruit trees.

He is survived by his wife, Josie Rosas Espindola of Victoria; daughters, Juanita "Janie" (Robert) Garcia, Connie (Gabriel) Alvarado, Margie (Margarito) Martinez, Irma Santa Maria and Gloria Espindola; sons, Marcus (Rita) Espindola, Victor (Donna) Espindola, Robert (Cathy) Espindola and David (Estella) Espindola; step children, Michael (Amanda) Cedeno, Agustin (Sandra) Cedeno, Jr., Nicky (Jesse Torres) Cedeno; 42 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Cecilia R. Espindola; daughter, Mary Esther Magana; son, Rene Espindola; brother, Isabel Espindola; and step daughter, Victoria Cedeno.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 9 am with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, Bandon D. Kirshner, Skye M Franks and Seth J Cedeno.
