Margaret Sue Greive

Margaret Sue Greive, 78, of Victoria passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011. Sue was born on December 9, 1932 in Victoria to the late Albert W. Harrison, Sr. and Christine Haller Harrison. She was a longtime employee of VISD and an active member at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Sue was also a 1951 graduate of Nazareth Academy.

Survivors are husband, Bernie Greive, of Victoria; daughter, Donna King, of St. Hedwig; son, Craig Greive, of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Jean Payne, of Victoria, Kay Barncord, of San Antonio, Nancy Albrecht, of San Antonio, Gail Anderson, of Hemphill; brothers, Albert W. Harrison, Jr, of Victoria, Jimmy Harrison, of Houston; three grandchildren, Kristine Merritt, of Victoria, James King, of St. Hedwig, Amanda King, Of Victoria and two great grandchildren, Braden and Zachary Merritt, of Victoria.

Preceded in death by parents and a beloved son, James A. “ Jimmy “ Greive.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 6 to 7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home with a Rosary starting at 7 pm.

The Mass will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011, 10 am at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Msgr. Michael Harrold officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James King, Jason Merritt, John Harrison, Randy Loescher, Ronnie Payne and Sammy Quarles.

Honorary Pallbearers are Amanda King, Kristine Merritt, Braden Merritt and Zachary Merritt.

Memorial Contributions: Nazareth Academy or St. Joseph High School.
