Born on April 2, 1925, in Chatham, Ontario, Canada, Margaret was the daughter of the late Maude and William Robert Paulucci. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Harvey Speidel, M.D.; her brothers, William Charles Paulucci and James McFarlene Paulucci; and her sister, Marion Paulucci Smith.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary, and wife Trisha Marion; her grandson, Robert Grayson; and her cherished nieces and nephews.
Margaret graduated from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in London, Ontario, on January 25, 1947. Later that same year, she and her husband, Thomas, of Leamington, Ontario, moved to Texas, where they established his medical practice and built a life rooted in service, faith, and community.
A devoted member of the United Church of Christ in both The Woodlands and Victoria, Texas, Margaret shared her many talents with those around her. She was an accomplished seamstress, artist, photographer, and quilter, generously offering her creativity and time to her church and community. Margaret approached life with warmth, grace, and kindness, and her love for family and friends was evident in all she did.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Jennifer Perez of Harbor Hospice and to the caregivers, Soledad Aguirre and Lupita Garcia, for their compassionate care, dedication, and support.
Margaret’s legacy of faith, creativity, generosity, and love will be forever treasured by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Margaret Speidel will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Rosewood Funeral Home, 3304 E. Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, Texas 77904.
Pastor Kate Gideon of First United Methodist Church of Sinton will officiate.
Visitation: 10:00–10:30 a.m.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m.
Interment: Immediately following the service
