Margie Ann Young

She was born on July 2, 1929 in Pampa, Texas to the late Allen Birdwell and Vera Adams Birdwell.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sharing her love through her cooking and arts and crafts.

She was a lifetime member of

Central Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Ray Allen Young, of Inez, Martha Ann “Marti” Melzow and husband Bill

and William Adam Young, all of Victoria; sister, Betty Geis, of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother,

Garland Birdwell, of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Kerri Melzow Cloer, Billy Melzow

and wife Candice, Robyn Young, and Amy Melzow; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Young; son, Mark Anthony Young;

sisters, Helen Tatum, Bobbie Smithee and Claudia Higgs; brother, Carl Birdwell

and grandson, Ty Young.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, from 5 to 7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014, 10:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home

with Mr. Robert Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be

Corey Boucher, Lewis Daltry, Jason Fitch, Bruce Hill, Eric Williamson and Mitch Williamson.

Memorial donations may be made to The Central Church of Christ Building Maintenance Fund.
