Marilyn graduated in 1954 from W. B. Ray High School and attended Del Mar College and Victoria Junior College. On September 30, 1955, she married her high school sweetheart, Asa E. Logan. The Logan family moved from Corpus Christi to San Benito, then Laredo and finally made their home in Victoria since 1967. Marilyn retired from Alcoa in 1996.

Her jack russell, Tiny, will miss her as well as her 'girls,' her herd of deer she fed every evening.

'To my family and friends, I want you to know I have left the party I enjoyed for years, I have moved onto another party with family and friends that are gone but not forgotten. I'm finally going to interview my elusive great great grandfather. I had a wonderful life and my only regret is leaving my husband, children, grand and great grandchildren and friends.'
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10 am at John Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will immediately follow at Crescent Valley Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be AJ Logan, Kyle Logan, Terry Fleeman, David Yaws, Jevon Cheuvront, and Jeff Finley. Honorary casket bearers will be Texas Torch Bearer, Omicron Beta Sigma Phi Sorority friends.
Those who knew Marilyn will miss her (this fact would probably bother Marilyn, but we will miss her anyway). She became a Saint at death. I am sure she enjoyed her first glass of wine with the angels and was pleased that she no longer needs to count how many glasses she has. Marilyn loved the great State of Texas and Willie Nelson. She enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets at the creekhouse.
The family would like to express their sincere thank you to all the doctors, Hospice of South Texas and the caregiver service for the love and care of Marilyn.
Donations may be made to John Wesley United Methodist Church.
