Mary, the beloved matriarch of the Rendon family, attended Nazareth Academy where she played the drums in the Drum and Bugle Corp and became NA’s first Hispanic cheerleader. After marrying the love of her life, Lupe Rendon Jr., and starting a family, she earned her LVN certification in 1964. Her nursing skills served her well for many years, from delivering babies to caring for the elderly.
“Momo” will be remembered for her beautiful smile, love of family, selflessness and strong will. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved her house to shine bright with colorful lights. Her quick wit and funny sense of humor were always the best part of Christmas. Her tasty pecan pies and pink ambrosia made the holidays complete. Second to Christmas, Momo loved trying to “winning it all” at Coushatta!
