Maxine Cihal

Maxine Sablatura Cihal, 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 20, 2019 at her home in Victoria, Texas. She was born September 7, 1935 in Ganado, Texas to the late Stephen and Olga Psencik Sablatura.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Cihal; brother, Joseph Sablatura; infant brother, Stephen Sablatura; husband and the father of her children, Clarence Cihal; and husband, Willie Dan Rowell.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Cihal and wife Miriam Cihal of Victoria, Dennis Cihal and Robyn Cihal of Nursery, Mary Beth Cihal of Dallas, Chris Cihal and wife Diane Cihal of Ganado, Veronica Crolley and husband Bill Crolley of Granbury; grandchildren, Zach Cihal, Mary Jane Berry and husband Jon Berry, Hanna Cihal and husband Clay Preshaw, Jessica Cihal and husband Paul Molinari, Jake Cihal and wife Swell Cihal, Zeb Cihal and wife Haley Cihal, Katie Cooper and husband Andrew Cooper, Cade Cihal and wife Kelsey Cihal, Ralph Crolley and wife Lindsey Crolley, Emily Ransom and husband Blake Ransom; and great-granchildren, Lilah Cihal, August and Nora Berry, Hugo Max Preshaw, Harper, Whitney and Rory Cihal, Sawyer and Wyatt Cihal, Thea and Oliver Cooper, and Karoline Cihal; and one sister.

Everyone who knew Maxine will tell you that she truly loved and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 12:00 pm at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Zachary Cihal, Jake Cihal, Zeb Cihal, Ralph Crolley, Cade Cihal, and nephew, Joey Sablatura.
