Monroe Joshua was born on April 14, 1962 in Victoria, Texas. He graduated from Victoria schools and attended Cal State, Los Angeles with a degree in Business Management. Monroe and his brother, Vic Salinas were brought up by Aunt Josephine. They developed a love for the land acquired by their ancestors dating back to the early-1800s. Fam, I’m at lost and shocked..... we met about three years ago on a journey to talk about our ancestors. Read an article in Victoria not knowing that we were related. We Did a lot of digging and back-and-forth about our Generations and how it all tied in. You gave information that hardly anybody knew when coming to our ancestors. I will try my best to complete that journey that we talked about. Thank you and glad to have known you and you will be missed. Rest in heaven! 🙏🏾😔

Dearest Monroe, it breaks my heart that I will no longer hear your kind loving words. You don't realize how you lifted my spirits after Dominique passed away, calling me to check up on me making sure that I was okay. I've always said that God takes the good ones because He needs more angels. May you rest in peace. Love you. Your friend. Bea Gerard

Until We Meet Again

Those special memories of you, will always bring a smile...
If only I could have you back, just for a little while longer. Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always. The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause me pain. But you’re forever in my heart until we meet again ....

Monroe was a wonderful person, compassionate, giving, empathetic, funny, loving, adventurous, curious, and well spoken for by a many of people.

I meet Monroe some 11 years ago and our friendship grew over the years and he was an anchor in my life personally. Monroe was the FIRST friend to extend his compassion and assistance when my spouse passed on my birthday due to COVID-19. If it were not for Monroe standing by me, supporting my mental state; my life would not be the same today.

I just basically closed a hole if sadness in my life and it has reopened anew with the passing of Monroe. He was larger than !I've sometimes, and always was a person you could talk to without judgement.

To Vivian, His Mother; Blaine his only son, Vic, Christian, Collen, and my goodness so so so many more, please accept my personal and families condolences, prayers, and thoughts during these trying times and know his wings are as big as his personality!

In these times of grief, know and pray for even angles can hear you prayers!

God Bless and may this rift of sorrow not cast as shadow of darkness in the path of your life!
