Nathan Orien Walton, 95, of Victoria, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Cuero. He was born in George West, Texas to the late Homer and Ethel White Walton, on October 5, 1927. Throughout his life, Nathan was a trucker, farmer and bartender at the VFW. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he received the Bronze Service Star and a Purple Heart. Nathan was a Lutheran and a proud member of Veterans of Foreign War post 4146.
In addition to his parents, Nathan was preceded in death his loving wife; Joyce Marie Schustereit Williams Walton, sons; Kevin Walton and Brian Walton, sisters; Ruby Walton, Ruth Walton, Eliza Walton, and Ethel Walton, and brothers; Cecil Walton, Bascom Walton, Jasper Walton, Orville Walton, Marvin Walton and Woodrow Walton.
Nathan is survived by sons; David Preiss, Derek Walton, and Craig Walton, ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many extended family, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 9-10 a.m., immediately followed by Funeral Service at 10 a.m., all at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with full Military Honors.
