Norma Lee Sapp Mussett passed away on September 2, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Norma was born on January 6, 1928 in Trinidad, South America to her now deceased parents, Victoria and Jess Sapp. Norma returned to the United States at the age of two.
While living in Beeville, Texas she met and married Amos W. Mussett and had six beautiful children: Deborah Mussett of Austin, Texas, Dorcas Atherton of Victoria, Texas, Victoria (Craig) Lawrence of Victoria, Texas, Marcus Mussett (now deceased), Mary Martin of Corpus Christi, Texas and Rachael Mussett (now deceased). Surviving siblings are sisters, Jessica Cook of Cuero, Texas, Cindy Gasch of Cuero Texas, brothers, Larry Franks of Georgetown, Texas, Jerry Franks of Houston, Texas. She was blessed with seven (7) grandchildren, eleven (11) great grandchildren, and four (4) great great grandchildren.
Norma was a mother to many during her amazing life as an artist, story teller, gardener, seamstress and host to many wonderful dinner parties. She will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, abiding spirituality, nonjudgmental attitude and someone who always encouraged others to “Be the person you came here to be”. What a difference she made in this world. Norma, Normie, Bum, Bummy, Bammer, Bunny, Ma, will be greatly missed.
She was cremated at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, of Victoria, Texas and will be buried next to her father and daughter in the Alexander Cemetery in Dewitt County.
Honorary Pallbearers are Craig Lawrence, Larry Franks, Jerry Franks, Allen Gasch, Barry Hoff, David Carson, Tim Ernster, Gary Dunnam, Shawn Clarke, Garon Price, Mitchell Vicha, Cole Dunaway, Justin Messimer, Robert Briggs and Allen Martin.
