

Norman and Adele were married 65 years and each fought through their own health issues and loved and cared for one another. Norman was born in Hallettsville, Texas to late Fred J. Lumpkin and Elver Norsworthy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred A Lumpkin and Rhae Lumpkin; brother-in-laws, Otto Lewandowski and Daniel Lewandowski; and sister-in-laws, Pansy Conti and Charlotte Rowand. After retiring with a career at AT&T he took up farming and ranching just outside of Nursery, Texas.
He enjoyed the rural life of tending to his cattle and horses, baling hay, and gardening until health no longer permitted. Adele retired from Southwestern Bell and helped with tending the garden and loved to can the fruits of their labor. Norman served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
A loving and caring father, he is survived by three children; son, Michael Lumpkin; daughters, Patty (Jim) Appleton and Kay (Kevin) Kooyman; grandchildren, Cody Lumpkin, Rachel Lumpkin-Conwill, Justin Appleton, Leah Appleton and Lindsey Kooyman; and great grandchildren, Jaxon and Madison Conwill, Kaylee and Kara Appleton.
A private memorial service will be held for Norman and Adele by the family at a later date.
