

Patricia Dale Franklin, lovingly known as Patti (age 63) passed away at home in her sleep February 7, 2016. Patti was born into a military family at Bethesda US Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland on 23 March 1952. Her formative years were spent traveling with her family to a wide assortment of US Navy Installations and USN Air Stations in support of her father’s Naval Aviation career. She spent grade school in Okinawa, Japan, Olathe Kansas, elementary school in Coronado, California and Point Magu, California, graduated High School in Langley Virginia and College from TCU in 1976.
After graduating from college she became an Import Specialist with the US Customs Service in Houston, Texas where she met her husband who was a Marine Lieutenant stationed at the Marine Corps Recruiting Station. It was love at first sight. The couple were married in Pensacola, Florida in 1981 and moved to Victoria where she spent her time working primarily in the Jewelry business, volunteering for various charity organizations, and claiming the joy of her Salvation.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Christopher Thomas Franklin USMCR Retired of Victoria; her brother, Admiral Thomas Loftin Andrews III USNR Retired (wife, Lillian) of Novato California. She is also survived by her Aunt Sue Andrews of Fort Worth and cousins, Joann Dragovits (husband, John) of Richardson, Texas and Jim Andrews (wife, Bonnie) of Houston, Texas and various nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents Captain Thomas Loftin Andrews Jr. US Navy Pilot Retired and Mary Florence Andrews (both were born and raised in Amarillo, Texas) of Pensacola Florida.
Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the First Christian Church, at 2105 North Ben Jordan Victoria, Texas, Rev. Doug Richardson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Sam Eaves, Victor Rendon, Mark Meek, Kent Grier, Jim Dusek and P. L. Gill.
