Paul Louis Belcik, 93, of Victoria, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018, following a stroke. He was born November 9, 1924 in Hallettsville, Texas to John J. and Mary Schindler Belcik.

He graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1942. After attending Baldwins’ Business College in Yoakum, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp on his 19th birthday in 1943, serving three years in the Philippines. He married Lillian Brogger on June 15, 1948. They made their home and raised four children in Victoria, where he had a career as Parts Manager for Goad Motor Co. and later for Gladden Pontiac. He was sharp-witted and loved to fish and tell stories. His barbeque grill was seldom cold. Paul never threw anything away and was quite the collector and fixer of all things. A member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, he was always faithful and dedicated to God and his family.

Paul is survived by his sons, Michael Belcik of Weir, Texas, Mark (Gail) Belcik of Victoria, Myron Belcik of Port O’Connor, Texas and daughter, Lethie (Ronnie) Albrecht of Mission Valley, Texas; grandchildren, Billy (Missy) Albrecht, Glenn (Rachael) Albrecht, Kelley (Marcus) Fulbright, Dustin (Tara) Belcik, Ryan Belcik, Tyler Belcik, Trevor Belcik and Alayna (Devon) Rivera; great grandchildren, D’Laci, Mollie and Lilly Albrecht, Morgan and Olivia Fulbright, Tristan Belcik and baby girl, Rivera due this summer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillian Brogger; brothers, John H. and Eddie Belcik; and sister, Eileen Denson.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2018, with rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Honors under the auspices of the Victoria County Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dustin, Ryan, Tyler and Trevor Belcik; and Billy and Glenn Albrecht. Honorary pallbearers are Missy and Rachael Albrecht; Kelley and Marcus Fulbright; Tara Belcik; and Alayna and Devon Rivera.

Special thanks to the Twin Pines Nursing Home and Houston Memorial Hermann Hospital staffs for their dedicated and compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Victory School or the Victoria VFW Post 4146.
