Phillip Massey Gainer departed this life on July 12, 2018 in Citrus County, Florida at the age of 29. Phillip was born on August 16, 1988 in Victoria, Texas to Albert and Nan Gainer. He graduated from Industrial High School and attended Texas Lutheran University. He served in the U. S. Air Force and received several distinguished military awards. Phil was employed during the last six and half years with Klean Corp International as a Production Leader, and he embodied its guiding principles of “God, Family, Team & Me.”
Phil is survived by his daughter Ella Massey Gainer, her mother Evanly M. Gonzales, his mother Nanette Gainer Welder, his father Albert Massey Gainer, siblings Chrissy Gainer Long and Katherine Welder, aunt Lynne Lavender, niece Avery Long and his extended family, friends, and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his step-father Rob Welder, and grandparents Hank and Lucille Lavender and Mildred Ward and Gene Costello.
Phil was a loving son, father, and brother, who “loved each of us as his own.” His smile and laugh were contagious, and his bear hug unforgettable. Among his most admirable qualities, Phil didn’t judge others; he looked for the good in everybody he met. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, golf, and following the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys.
