

Pauline was born March 14, 1930, in Ingram, Texas, to Odius and Essie McGrew.
Polly was well known for many things, including her great joy and love of children. Her bright blue eyes lit up when she was around any child, whether it was her own children or not. Her great strength, love and support for her family never faltered. She leaves behind a legacy of immense love for her family and the joy she had cooking delicious meals for family and friends. Everyone had a favorite dish. She also loved fishing, gardening, and gambling in Las Vegas and Lake Charles.
She is survived by six children, all who live in Victoria. Surviving are Georgette Evans and husband, Danny, Marilyn Blevins and husband, Roger, Susan Will and husband, Don, George Ganem, Jr. and wife, Debbie, Gerard Ganem and wife, Patty and Jeff Ganem and wife, Tina. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and three more on the way. Grandchildren are Todd Evans and wife, Danny of Victoria, Julie Bellows and husband, Ryan, of Frisco, Brandon Blevins and wife, Kelly of Goliad, Dr. Kristin Urban and husband, Kwinton, of Goliad, Elizabeth Kopecky and husband Alfred, Mary Catherine Jones and husband, Bill of Victoria, Christopher Ganem and wife, Victoria, of San Antonio, Dr. Christina Shepherd and husband, Captain Tom Shepherd, of Oahu, Hawaii, Bryan Ganem and wife, Heather, of Victoria and Sarah Labay and husband Jeff, of Richmond.
During the past six months of her illness, her children gave her the same strength, love and support she had given them during her lifetime. She set the example for the values she held so close to her heart. She showed her children the power of unconditional love, the importance of empathy, and the strength of family.
Rosary will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Home with graveside services following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Evans, Brandon Blevins, Christopher Ganem, Bryan Ganem, Kwinton Urban and Alfred Kopecky.
