

Ramon R. Gonzales , 96, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was born July 26, 1916, in Cuero to the late Geronimo and Florentina Rodriquez Gonzales. He was retired from the cotton gin business in Bloomington. Ramon was proud to be a World War II veteran after serving his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Liria Gonzales and Ramona Reyes of Bloomington, Ersilia Victory of Seadrift and Dorothy Perez of Victoria; sons, Floy Gonzales and Fred Gonzales of Bloomington; sisters, Rosa Mendez of Victoria, Suzie Luna of Bloomington and Olivia Rodriguez of Alice.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Gonzales, and by a son, Lupe Gonzales.
Mr. Gonzales will lie in state starting at Noon, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 5, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Kenyon Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery with full military honors by the Victoria Veterans Council.
Pallbearers will be Don Reyes, Brian, Floy, Lupe Jay and Chris Gonzales and Allen Victory.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lional Perez, Mike Victory Jr. and Phillip Hernandez.
