Rhett Michael Kinkade, 60, of Victoria, passed away suddenly on September 2, 2024. Rhett was born in Wichita, Kansas to the late Michelle Fisher Wilson and Gary Russell Kinkade. Rhett grew up in Dallas and graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrolton, Texas in 1982.
He stayed in touch with a lot of his high school buddies throughout the years. Rhett worked in the IT department for Intermedics in the 1990’s where he met his wife, Belinda Angerstein, they got married in 1997 at Garner State Park. Rhett and Belinda had a love for camping and enjoyed the outdoors, biking, hiking, and going camping with several camp groups. In 1999, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Haley into the world. Rhett was a doting father and attended as many school events as he could, always cheering on Haley from the finish line. Rhett and Haley loved watching movies together and both had a sweet tooth, especially for Grandpa Kinkade’s fantasy fudge and malts. Rhett enjoyed working on different things, from fixing up houses to vintage motorcycles or older cars. He loved his animals, especially his dogs Myla and Ozzy. Rhett has been employed with Atzenhoffer Chevrolet since 2014, it wasn’t just a job to him but also a great work family.
Rhett is survived by his wife, Belinda Kinkade; daughter, Haley Nicole Kinkade (Robbie); sister, January Kinkade Al-Zouhbi (Niazi) of California; brother, Jason Kinkade (Anja) of Brownwood, TX; step-mother, Jan Kinkade of Brownwood, TX; step-brother, Mike McMillan of Denton, TX; and many loved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10-11 AM at First English Lutheran Church. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 11 AM.
