Robby Burdge, 63, of Victoria, Texas, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership, and unwavering faith. Born March 5, 1962, in Norwalk, Ohio, Robby spent his life pouring into others and left a lasting mark on every life he touched. Larger than life, Robby never met a stranger. His generosity, selflessness, and passion for helping others knew no bounds.
In 1997, Robby founded klean corp international, a company that not only reflected his work ethic but his life philosophy—centered on the registered trademark he proudly lived by: God, Family, Team and Me. Those words weren't just a slogan, they were the foundation of how he led, loved, and served. Robby’s leadership extended far beyond his business. He gave his time, resources, and heart to countless causes throughout the community and beyond.
He served with distinction on numerous boards including the College Board of Trustees, St. Joseph School Board as both member and a trustee emeritus, Chairman of the Port of Victoria, Grace Like Rain Co-Chair for Habitat for Humanity, and was a proud Honorary Board Member and supporter of Bluebonnet Youth Ranch. He was also an instrumental supporter of Perpetual Help Home, an organization that held a special place in his heart. His passion for uplifting others touched countless organizations—far too many to list but none forgotten.
Robby was twice named Victoria Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and also honored as Victoria Rotary Citizen of the Year, recognitions that only begin to capture his impact. Whether helping someone in a financial crisis or offering quiet, consistent support, Robby never hesitated to be there. He often reminded others, “I love you, but Jesus loves you more,” and truly believed in loving people first and pointing them to Christ through that love. He had a gift for seeing the best in everyone.
Out of all his many accomplishments, Robby’s greatest pride was his family. He was married for 42 years to the love of his life, Tami Burdge, and was a devoted father to Casey Burdge Staudt (Caleb) and Conner Burdge. Casey was the apple of his eye, and when Conner was born, his life was complete. His heart grew even bigger with the arrival of his grandchildren, Parker Lively Staudt and Levi Benjamin Staudt, who brought him immeasurable joy and who he adored beyond words. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy—and everything he did, he did for them. Robby led with love, lived with purpose, and built a family rooted in faith, laughter, and unwavering support.
He cherished his time at the family home in New Braunfels, where love, live music, and laughter were always in abundance. Whether surrounded by family or friends, Robby made every gathering feel like home.
Robby was preceded in death by his parents, Adelbert Dickerson Burdge and Lillian Burdge, and by his brother-in-law, Jack Hagarty.
He is survived by his beloved wife Tami Burdge, daughter Casey Burdge Staudt (Caleb), son Conner Burdge, and his treasured grandchildren Parker Lively Staudt and Levi Benjamin Staudt. He is also survived by his siblings: Tena Payne (Larry), Anette Hagarty, Joni Petterson (Kenny), Butch Burdge (Judy), Andy Burdge (Gloria), Toya Burdge, and Teri Parkman (Randy).
Honorary Pallbearers will include his cherished KCI family and Kent Mantle.
Robby’s life was a reflection of his faith, his love for others, and his unshakable belief in doing the right thing—always. His impact will be felt for generations, not only in the community he helped build, but in the hearts of those lucky enough to know and love him.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Son Valley Ranch on Monday, May 12th at 12:00 p.m. The family invites everyone to come celebrate his amazing life, and honor a man who gave so much to so many.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robby’s honor to Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity, The Vine School, or Mid-Coast Family Services.
