Robert R. "Bob" Aitchison

Robert R. “Bob” Aitchison, 79, of Victoria passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010. He was born April 29, 1931, in Hamelton, Ontario, Canada, to the late Harry and Rebecca LeConte Aitchison. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Texas Employment Commission as a supervisor after thirty-four years. Mr. Aitchison was an avid antique collector and enjoyed working with wood and repairing old clocks. He was a past member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club, a member of Masonic Lodge #40 and a member of the Korean War Veterans. Mr. Aitchison was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Doherty Aitchison of Victoria; son, Patrick W. Aitchison and wife, Michelle, of Victoria; two grandsons, Jonathan and Matthew; sister, Marlene Hall of Greenvalley, Arizona; brother, James H. Aitchison of Buena Vista, California.

Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday, May 17, 2010, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, Mr. Don Angerstein officiating. Burial with flag folding under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council and Masonic graveside services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
