Robert L. "Bob" Blankenship

Robert L. “Bob” Blankenship, 81, of Inez, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He was born on January 25, 1933 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late George Blankenship and Virginia Davis Blankenship. Bob was a retired foreman and worked for both H.B. Zachary and Brown and Root.

Survivors include special friend, Ruth Menefee, of Victoria; daughters, Robin Flowers, of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, Debra Howard (Wayne), of La Ward; sons, Robert Blankenship, Jr. (Michelle), of La Salle, Billy Blankenship, of Victoria; former daughter-in-law, Frances Blankenship, of San Antonio; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Norma Jean Gilbert Blankenship; 4 sisters and 6 brothers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014, 2:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home with Mr. Wayne Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Bischoff Cemetery.
