Dear Gordon, 
We are so sorry to hear of the death of your Mother.  May her passing provide you with many happy memories and may God give you the strength to know that she is now in a better place.  Know that we are thinking of you and your family in this difficult time.

It has been a long time since I last saw Roberta but I always remember what a delight she was to be around. I want to express my heart felt condolences to Jason and Gordon for the loss of your Mother, I know how important she was in your lives. We will keep you in our prayers.

I could not have asked for a sweeter sister. Roberta was always there for me, no matter what was going on in either of our lives or how far apart our journeys carried us. I will miss her more than words can express. The picture was taken when we visited her in April. 

Roberta was gracious and generous.  I remember the wonderful home cooked meals she made and shared with me when I was attending Texas A&M.  (She made the best fried chicken ever.)

Having her near made me feel a little less homesick and feel that home wasn’t so far away.

She had such a kind spirit, was interested in so many things and always made you feel welcome and at home.

To Jason and Gordan and family, please know that she will be missed and we are thinking of you all at this time.

Roberta and I were lifelong friends in addition to being double cousins.  We shared memories from an early age of family reunions and visits back and forth, raising our families, having children attending college at Texas A&M at the same time (I always felt good to know she was there if Robyn needed her). In more recent years we spent many hours on the phone, catching up on family news and sharing genealogy information.

We want the family to know that although we can’t  be with you at this time our thoughts and prayers  are for all of you. We loved her and will miss her so much.

Roberta is my eldest Cousin from my Mother's Family ...... who I will forever thank for her own, very original and thoughtful Note that she had forwarded directly to the Funeral Directors located in our Hometown of Levelland where my own Mother's Funeral Services were being finalized in January of 2014. As might be said, Roberta's treasured Note of remembrance arrived there from "out of the blue". Roberta has never known, and will never know, how affected I, personally, was by and with her gesture of love for Mother, her Aunt Fern.
To Jason and Gordon, and their own Families, I must in turn express my Love for their very special Mother here.
I am now thankful, frankly, that Roberta is in the companies of our GOD, his SON Jesus, and her own cherished Husband, J. C..
