Victoria - Rolando Prado Jr. (El Pocho) went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 12, 2015 at the age of 59. He was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas - Mexico to Rolando Prado Sr. and Maria Prado on January 15, 1956. He was married to our beloved mother Elsa G. Prado for 22 years.
Our beloved father was a great and humble man. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, Guelo, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He had a ton of friends and was always the life of the party. He was loved by so many. Our father would give the shirt off his back for anyone. We couldn’t of asked for a better father or a better Guelo for our kids. Our father worked in the oil field for over 20 years. He was known for being one of the best forklift operators ever. He was employed by 2-M Services.
Our loving father had a deep passion for his racehorses. He loved his horses, but more than anything he loved his family especially his grandkids “His Perritos” they were his pride and joy. He enjoyed taking them to “ The Rancho” for the day and letting them do whatever they wanted. He loved to barbecue and have get-togethers with family and friends at his ranch. Every chance he got he’d be at his ranch barbecuing.
His laugh was so contagious and boy could he make everyone laugh. Our lives will be so sad without that laugh, but we look forward to the day we can all be together again in heaven. Until we see you again dad “Our King”. We love you with all our hearts and miss you dearly. We will never forget you.
He is survived by his parents Rolando Prado Sr. and Maria Prado, wife Elsa G. Prado, his #1 daughters Janie ( Mike ) Garcia, Sue Allen ( Bubba ) Saldana, Roxie ( Daniel ) Salazar, Ashley (Albert ) Diaz all of Victoria, TX, Elizabeth ( Felipe) Prado of Charlette NC, Adrianna Prado of Victoria, TX; brothers, Juan ( Martha ) Prado, Hector ( Rosa ) Prado, Raul ( Thelma ) Prado, Rudy ( Elsa ) Prado all of Victoria TX, sisters Ruth ( Baldemar ) Salinas of Pharr TX, Herminia ( Rogerio ) Razo, Leticia ( Jesse ) Cantu both of Victoria TX, 13 grandchildren plus one on the way, his most beloved “Perritos”.
