Rose Marie Kloesel

Rose, along with her husband James, owned and operated Kloesel Cleaners for many years before their retirement. Rose is a past member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Sewing and Quilting Club, in which she was active until her passing. Rose’s hobbies included entertaining in her home and hosting monthly dinners. She especially enjoyed the Sisters from Incarnate Word: Sister Charlene, Sister Laura and Sister Paschaline. A hobby that Rose was most famous for was decorating her home for every holiday, with Christmas being her most passionate and favorite of all. She had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling to new places, and was very adventurous.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Bill) Nichols of Victoria, Darlene (Kent) Miller of Edna; sons, James (Billie Jo) Kloesel, Jr. of Minnesota, Mike (Pamela) Kloesel of Louisiana, John Kloesel of Minnesota; sister, Mildred Vogt Lee of Victoria; brothers, Herman Vogt of Colorado, David Vogt of Victoria, Don Vogt of Cibolo; grandchildren, Charlie Dorsa, David Robert Nichols, Gretchen Renee Nichols, Billie Gean Kloesel, Justin Kloesel, Kristy Hebert, Kevin Kloesel, Laura Bacak, Andrea Smith and Alena Reynolds; twelve great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her Louisiana family, VMRA St. Mary’s Sewing and Quilting Ladies; and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, James Kloesel, Sr.; three great-grandchildren, Morghan and Meaghan Mier and Gavin Nichols.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Vacek officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rene Reyes, dear friend, Robbie Farek, nephew, David Nichols, grandson, Chase Mier, great-grandson, Lowell Bacak, grandson, Maj. Jordan Charles Smith, grandson, and Kent Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Nichols, John Baylor, Joe Talbott, Maria Velasco, MD, Gary Cox, MD, Ricard Leggett, MD, Martha Nichols and Josie Garza.
